What to expect from an event at the Embassy Theatre
As you head over to the Embassy Theatre before your event, the first thing you’ll notice is the venue’s distinctive marquee. Known as one of the theater’s most iconic and distinctive features, it was installed back in 2005. Featuring bright, bold signage, with illuminated light bulbs that frame the marquee, it exhibits a classic, eye-catching look.
Style and architecture
Now featured on the National Register of Historic Places, the Embassy Theatre has maintained the historic integrity of the building. Its imposing style reflects the opulence of the 1920s, featuring large, arched windows and decorative columns, along with a lavish décor, complete with ornate chandeliers, plush seating, and grandiose painted ceilings.
Once you step inside, you’ll be greeted by the classic Beaux-Arts architecture, with intricate plasterwork, huge chandeliers, and a lavish interior transporting you to the theater’s 1920s origins. You’ll also be greeted by staff members who will be ready to guide you to your seat, answer any questions you may have, and ensure an overall smooth experience.
Stage and acoustics
The acoustics in the venue are top-notch, with the stage area featuring a proscenium arch, a defining feature of traditional theater stages, helping frame the performance and direct sound waves towards the audience. The venue is also equipped with state-of-the-art sound systems designed to enhance the listening experience.
The stage itself is a large, well-designed area, perfect for a variety of performances. There are a total of 2,471 seats in the theater, spanning across the orchestra level on the main floor, the balcony on the upper level, the boxes on the sides of the theater, and the mezzanine.
Whether you’re attending Broadway musicals, live concerts, comedy shows, or classical music performances, you’re guaranteed an unforgettable experience. Most shows will feature an intermission, so you have plenty of time to use the restroom and enjoy the theater’s refreshment areas in between performances.
Note: Seating configurations can change subject to the type of event. Remember to check the individual seating map when you select your tickets. Ticket prices may vary due to; who is performing, seat location, VIP or box tickets, last minute purchases and many other reasons.
