Embassy Theatre Rules

The Embassy Theatre has placed the following rules and policies in place to make sure that every guest has a safe and enjoyable visit. Prepare for your ticketed event by reading and reviewing the rules and policies below as failure to abide by them may result in expulsion from the venue without refund.

If you have any questions, please contact The Embassy Theatre Box Office at  260-424-5665.

The historic Embassy Theatre has a list of policies and rules that ensure performances go ahead uninterrupted. These have been put in place to keep attendees safe. It’s worth getting familiar with some of these rules ahead of time, so your night at the historic Embassy Theatre will go smoothly. Here are some of the most important rules and policies:

Recording equipment

Photography and audio recording devices are usually not allowed in the auditorium. This is put in place to ensure the safety of the artists, comfort of fellow audience members and the copyright protection of the performance works. Usually, phones will be allowed in during the performance, except for special events.

For example, Bob Dylan’s Rough and Rowdy Ways Tour, a scheduled event at the venue, will implement a ‘phone-free experience,’ where phones and recording devices will be secured in Yondr pouches upon arrival. You can contact the Embassy box office, open Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm, for more information about your ticket policies.

Security features

The Embassy Theatre is a drug-free, tobacco-free and weapon-free venue. According to state law, you’re not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages inside the facility. Outside food and beverages also are not allowed. When purchasing alcohol at the venue, anyone who appears under the age of 30 will be required to produce identification.

Once you enter the venue, any bags and personal belongings will be inspected. Bear in mind that the Embassy will not confiscate or hold any restricted items, so you’ll need to take them off the Embassy property (return them to your car) or place them in the trash.

Smoking is not allowed in any part of the Embassy Theatre. However, you can smoke outside the venue, as long as you stand at least 20 feet from the entrance.

If you lose an item at the venue, you can contact the box office or the theater’s staff. Lost and found items are usually stored at the venue, and staff can assist you in retrieving your belongings.
